You don’t hear that very often do you? So many of us dread Mondays, and I’m not going to lie, I definitely don’t look forward to them, per se, but I’ve learned to have a different outlook when the dreaded alarm on Monday morning rings. I wanted to share with you my top 4 reasons why Mondays are better than you think!
1- A Fresh Start
It’s a new week! How exciting is that? Shake off everything that happened last week and the past weekend, and embrace what’s coming to you this week — whatever it is, it’s happening for a reason! Try Having an optimistic outlook on the coming days is so important. Here’s a mantra: tell the universe that you’re available for good things to happen this week and that you’re not available for negativity. This will put you in a fresh, optimistic mindset.
2- New Opportunities
So many things are going to happen to you this week, and every week, good and bad. Many of these things you won’t even know are going to happen until they do! Of course this can be scary when you think about it, but luckily, you can take things one day at a time. Take things as they come, and try not to worry about things you cannot control!
3- A Good Day to Start Something New
Monday is a great day to be real with yourself. Have you been wanting to try something new? A new diet, a new blogging strategy, have you been wanting to ask your boss for that raise? Monday is a fantastic day to do it. Start your week out strong, and no matter what comes of it, you’ll be happy you at least finally took the chance.
4- A Day to Plan
Mondays are a great day to plan for the week ahead. Many do this on Sunday but not everyone has a chance to do it then, so why not do it Monday? Spend 15 minutes with your calendar, planner, notebook, and plan for the week. Not just what you’re going to do, but maybe write in some mantras in the margins. Be you’re own cheerleader and support yourself. Not every day this week will be the “best day ever” so plan ahead, plan to spend sometime journaling, reading, etc. Plan for some “me time;” trust me, you’ll be glad you did it.
I truly hope this helps you not dread Mondays so much and gives you a new way to look at them!
Have a wonderful week,
