College Life, Future Goals, Blogging Tips // Q+A with me!

When I asked you guys on Twitter what I should write about next, doing a Q and A got a lot more votes than I thought it would! I figured it would be a fun way for people to ask questions about blogging and to get to know me, so I sent out the request for questions and I recieved an overwhelming amount of them! So first, thank you to all those who asked me questions! I recieved an overwhelming amount of questions so I’m sorry if I didn’t get to yours!

  1. What is your fave & least favorite part about college life and why? (@MomsCafeBlog)
My favorite part would have to be the freedom! I can do basically whatever I want, whenever I want. And because of this freedom, I’ve learned so much about myself. My least favorite part? DORMS. Dorm life is the worst. You have basically no privacy and its just not comfortable in the slightest. Its hard to live your best life when you literally dread where you live, you know? Thankfully I only have 6 more weeks left in my dorm, then summer, and then next school year I’ll be in an apartment! Woo!
  2. How do you like to spend your chill, no blogging, no work days? (@CarolanneDavies)
I would definitely prefer to spend my free days working out, spending time with family, and exploring a city! Walking around, going into shops & cafes, trying new restaurants, and going to new museums are some of my favorite things to do!
  3. Favorite TV shows and/or YouTubers? (@hale.blog)
I used to watch Youtube all the time in high school and I loved Tyler Oakley (he went to the same college as me!), Lohanthony, Andrew Lowe, Siena Mirabella, etc. and now I’m into Jaclyn Hill, Yoga with Adriene, and Peter McKinnon! As for TV, I love The Office, It’s always Sunny in Philadelphia,  and Big Brother!
  4. What have been your struggles when it comes to blogging and how do you handle them? (@treasurelbeauty)
A big struggle for me has been consistency. For me, that means blogging every week. I think the reason its so hard for me to stay consistent is because as a college student, its really hard when you have to juggle exams, homework, work, a social life, and me time! I’m trying to get better at it but it’s still a work in progress! One thing I really suggest is using a planner. I can’t live without my planner, so it’s always by my side to remind me of what I have to get done!
  5. What hashtags would you suggest bloggers use? (@official_inspired_by_t)
I would suggest not focusing on tagging what is in your picture, but rather, focus on capturing your audience. For example, instead of hashtagging your morning coffee with #coffee #morning, hashtag it instead with #womenwhohustle #workingwomen #bosslady, etc. Because your audience will be looking under those hashtags to find a blogger like you, and they wont necessarily be looking under the hashtag “#morningcoffee,” know what I mean? Here are some hashtags that I use:
    #blogger #bloggerstyle #bloggerlife #cityblogger #mycity#bossbabeco
    #photooftheday #womaninbiz#workinggirl #workingwoman#womenwhohustle
    #wellnessblogger#designblogger
    #blog #bossbabe #newbeginnings #lifestyle#design #ux #blogger
    #selfhelp #igblog#bloggers #bossbabes #slaybabycollective#slaybaby
    #bossgirlbloggers #bossgirlsunited
  6. Do you have any life expectations after you graduate? If so, what are they? (@MomsCafeBlog) & Where do you see your blog in 5 years time? (@MaePolzine)
Yes, yes, and YES! I will be graduating in 2 years and afterwards I plan on getting a full time job in a big city, preferably Chicago. In fact, I know I will make it happen at least sometime after I graduate. Its been my dream forever to move to Chicago, so somehow, someway, it will happen! And with this, I see my blog growing with me. I want to offer services through my blog and turn Tiger Lily Diary into a business!
  7. What is your current addiction?
Anything Matcha. Like I’m obsessed with it. It’s full of amazing benefits, just the right amount of caffeine, and it tastes amazing!! I highly suggest getting a matcha latte with almond milk next time you’re at Starbucks!
  8. What made you start blogging?
Mostly because I have a lot to say and I wanted my voice to be heard! But I actually answer this question in depth in another blog, HERE!
  9. What do you study at university? Why did you choose that? (@mevstheodds)
Long story short, I study Experience Architecture! But to explain why I chose it, will have to be another blog post, honestly! (I’m thinking next week’s blog actually!)

I hope you all enjoyed this post! If you have anymore questions, drop them below or shoot me a message!

With Love,

T.L.

Great post! I agree, dorms are the worst part of college, but after living in an apartment for the past two years i can tell you that it is worth the wait – I love it!! Also, I totally understand the feeling. It is hard to be a college student and to be a blogger. It is a lot to juggle at once, but it will all be worth it in the end and it gets easier to manage!

Love your goals for the future, all the best luck on achieving them!

I hated dorms myself, but more my roommates, I never had good college roommates. It made school so much more difficult as she expected all lights to be off including my laptop’s at 8 PM… which was prime time to do homework. Glad that’s over with.
